Find Out More About Relaxation Massage

A relaxation massage is a full body massage using gentle flowing strokes and soft kneading techniques to help soothe the muscles and calm the mind. In addition to helping calm and relax the mind and body, it can help improve circulation, boost the immune system and enhance the quality and duration of sleep.

Sports Massage

Sports massage focuses on specific muscle groups and can help prevent injuries, improve performance and speed up recovery times.

Find Out More About Sports Massage

Sports massage typically involves deeper pressure and more intense, targeted treatments than a remedial massage. Sports massage utilises a combination of techniques, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, stretching, and kneading of specific muscles and joints to help release tension and stiffness.

Sports massage therapy may include a specific program of stretches or exercises to help promote ongoing healing and recovery.

Sports massage has many benefits, including preventing injuries, maintaining flexibility, improving range of motion, increasing circulation, reducing inflammation, speeding up recovery times and assisting people in achieving optimal physical performance.

Lymphatic Drainage

  • 60min – $100

Lymphatic drainage massage uses gentle, rhythmic massage strokes to stimulate the lymphatic system (responsible for removing waste and toxins from the body) and boost circulation. Lymphatic drainage can benefit individuals who experience swelling, oedema (fluid retention), lymphedema, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, rheumatoid arthritis and cellulite or those wanting to boost immune function.

Find Out More About Remedial Massage

Lymphatic drainage massage involves light, rhythmic pressure applied to specific areas of the body in the direction of the lymphatic system’s flow. The light rhythmic pumping movement activates the lymph nodes, stimulating the flow of lymphatic fluids throughout the body, which helps boost immunity and facilitates the removal of excess fluid, waste and toxins.

Lymphatic drainage is often used to help post-surgery recovery as it reduces swelling, promotes healing, and can improve overall recovery time.

Pregnancy Massage (Pre-Natal Massage)

  • 60min – $100

Find Out More About Pregnancy Massage

A pregnancy massage is performed by a qualified pre-natal massage therapist with specialist knowledge of anatomy and physiology during pregnancy. Your pregnancy massage therapist will adjust their techniques to suit the different stages of pregnancy.

During a pregnancy massage, the client lies on their side, supported by special pregnancy pillows/cushions for maximum comfort. The cushioned support provides gentle pressure relief on the lower back, allowing the entire body to be safely and effectively treated without risk to the baby.

FAQ Massage Therapy

How much does a massage cost?

Our massages start from just $65.00 for 30 minutes, and remedial massages attract private health rebates* (Subject to your policy inclusions).

What happens during a massage session?

If you are a new client, we ask that you arrive at least 10 minutes before your massage to complete our client information form. The massage therapist will then review the form with you and address any current health conditions, concerns, or questions you may have.

The therapist will then leave the room to allow you to undress, get comfortable on the table and cover yourself with a privacy sheet. The therapist will then begin your massage and check in with you regularly to ensure your comfort and adjust the pressure if required. Once the massage is complete, the therapist will leave the room to allow you to dress.

What should I wear during a massage session?

We ask clients to strip down to their underwear for maximum benefit during a full-body massage. For your comfort and privacy, you will be covered with a sheet during the massage, and the therapist will only uncover the area of the body they are working on at any given time.

Will I feel sore after having a massage?

It is possible to feel sore after certain types of massage, particularly if you had deep tissue work to release tight knots and tension. However, this is not something to be concerned about and may feel similar to how you feel after a workout. Drinking plenty of water after a massage can help reduce soreness, as this will flush the toxins out of your body.

Any soreness or discomfort should only last a day or two; however, if the soreness persists, it is essential to consult your massage therapist or healthcare provider to ensure that there are no underlying issues.

How do I know if massage therapy is right for me?

Massage therapy can benefit many people, but whether or not it is right for you depends on your individual needs and circumstances. If you have underlying health conditions, deep vein thrombosis, severe osteoporosis or a history of heart disease, stroke, or high blood pressure, it is important that you consult with your healthcare provider before having a massage to ensure that it is safe and appropriate for your needs.
